Dr. G. Kishore is currently working as PRINCIPAL, Sports Authority of India, Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education, Trivandrum, & Additional Charge of Regional Director, Sports Authority of India LNCPE Region (Kerala/Tamilnadu/Puthucherry/Lakshadweep).

Dr.  G. Kishore is a native of Pandalam, Kerala.  He did his Post-graduation, M.Phil and Ph.D. in Physical Education in LNUPE, Gwalior.  He joined Sports Authority of India in 1986. He served Government of Kerala as Additional Director and Director of Sports and Youth Affairs, Government of Kerala and Secretary, Kerala Sports Council in different tenures on deputation from SAI. He also served as the Director (Pers.), SAI Head Office, NSEC, Calcutta and NSSC, Bangalore. Dr. G. Kishore assumed charge as Principal, SAI, LNCPE, Trivandrum in 2011. Dr. G. Kishore is a recipient of several recognitions and awards. He has travelled to many countries in the world on international assignments. He holds a number of important academic positions in the University of Kerala such as Member of Syndicate and Senate and many standing committees of the University.

He has been nominated to various important committees by the Government of India and Government of Kerala. 

• Member of Selection Committee for Dhyan Chand Award.
• Chairman, Committee to review guidelines for selection criteria for SAI Schemes.
• Convener of the Technical Committee and Member of the Executive Board for the 35^th National Games.
• Member of the Committee constituted for implementation/creation of Delhi Sports University.
• Member of the Committee constituted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, for formulation of Vision Document for the 15 years, 7 Year Strategic Plan and 3-Year Action Document i.e up to 2030 in respect of Department of Sports.
• Member of the Indian delegation to observe the RIO OLYMPICS -2016 from 4^th to 14^th August 2016.
• Member of the Task Force Committee constituted by MYAS, Government of India, for the recommendation on different aspects of Sports Education in Universities/ Institutions regarding the conduct of Sports related courses in Physical Education and Sports.

Dr. G. Kishore organized many sports related Workshops at International and National levels. He has attended and presented papers in many important sports related seminars in the country and abroad.
