The Comparative Society is a research and educational organization structured for the purposes of promoting, stimulating and encouraging study, research and scholarly activities on the subject of comparative physical education and sport, and supporting, encouraging and providing assistance to those seeking to iniciate, develop and conduct programmes in comparative physical education and sport throughout the world.
The 21st Biennial Conference of the International Society for Comparative Physical Education and Sport (ISCPES) was held in Kerala, India, from 16th to 18th December, 2021. It took place in a virtual format organized by Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education (LNCPE) Trivandrum. The LOC did excellent logistic work to provide an idela platform to manage the congress under the theme “State of the Art in Physical Education, Sport and Physical Activity in the International Context”. The congress was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Government of India, Shri. Anurag Singh Thakur. DG of SAI Sh. Sandeep Pradhan, Prof. Dr. Pedro Carvalho (former President of ISCPES), Dr. G. Kishore, Principal and Regional Director were at the inaugural ceremony. There were six keynote speakers, three panel sections, and 72 oral presentations of delegates of 25 countries around the globe within this conference. It was our privilege to have Emeritus Professor Dr.Herbert Haag, a founder of the ISCPES back in 1978, and former President, gave the “Herbert Haag Lecture”.
Concerning the Awards, young scholar Ling Qin (China) has received our traditional Lynn Vendien Award. And two Young Researcher Awards were presented to Mohammad Amin Safari (Iran) and Vikas Singh (India). We want to give our sincere gratefulness to all the participants, members, and everyone who has provided their kind help. Withou you, we cannot successfully activate this fantastic journey.
